Stacy's Articles

Who I used to be:

My identity was in my father;” Oh, you are Joe’s boy!” Then later it was, “Oh, you are Doreen’s boy!” When I started in school it was always, “Hey you,” then it was “Aren’t you Terry, Gary, Lonnie, Randy, and Shannon’s brother?”  Unfortunately as I grew up through school I was identified by my behavior and that was not a good thing!  Most of the names given, I am no longer aloud to say, especially in a church article.  This identity carried through into the community where my reputation and my family’s reputation weren’t with those on the right side of the tracks.

Who Am I Now?

Then in 1985 came my new identity, a great friend, Kevin, shared the gospel with me and helped me to see that Jesus loves me and died for my sins so that I could be saved. And that my faith in Jesus would allow me to be adopted into God’s family for eternity! For the last 26 years I have lived within this new identity and I praise my Lord each and every day for loving me enough to adopt me. I pray that whoever meets me will say, “Oh, you are a child of God’s.”

Because of this new identity, I am in the witness protection program; Christ will protect my new identity. He will guard my mind and my heart and He has given me His Holy Spirit to help share my new identity with everyone else. This new identity has allowed me to be on the greatest adventure ever:

Eternal Life!

Because of Jesus Christ in my life I am a child of God and:
