Question and Answer

Biblical 'Dating' (Junior high and Senior High)

Monday: We continued in James 1 and looked at some temptations we face daily, especially at school, and how we can prepare ourselves to deal with them head on.

Wednesday:  I meant to have this out on Tuesday but was very distracted by the goings on around me.
Wednesday night HIN. I had both the Junior high and Senior high together at the Edge for games and worship, as per usual, but had them remain together for time in the word.  We broke up into small groups of 4-5 and looked up three verses Proverbs 16:3, Proverbs 19:2 and Matthew 6:33 along with answering some very pointed questions about each (students were given individual handouts with the verses and questions on them if you would like to look at them).  We then regrouped and went over a long list of verses, although the Bible doesn't tell us how to date or find a spouse that we make a covenant commitment with, it does however give very clear guidelines as to how one might go about protecting themselves and others in their pursuit of a spouse (a good thing).
    Scriptures: Prov 18:22, Prov 31:30, Song of S 2:7, Matt 19:4-5, 1 Cor 6:13, 1 Cor 6:18, 1 Cor 7:1, 2 Cor 6:14, 1 Tim 4:12, 2 Tim 2:22,

Sunday morning:  We will take the morning to look at the rest of the semester in regards to upcoming events, deciding on and planning outreach efforts, discussing spiritual goals, and scheduling students for interviews.

Sunday night:  Last week we went to Ainesis, we will pick up last weeks scheduled time in 1 Tim 3 followed by small group encouragement and accountability.
